- Indoor practices and junior tournaments Coaches prepare many competitive drills; and to have effective practices, they need to keep track of the players’ performance and/or the drill progress. They also have game-like drills and scrimmages. Coaches usually try to keep track of the points without taking any notes, but most of the time they forget what the score is and that can disrupt the drill. They can’t use the big scoreboards for this purpose because they are not light enough to carry everywhere comfortably. Boardee is light (onl 9 oz) and its size and weight is perfect for anyone to carry, especially for juniors and coaches. Players’ parents like to keep track of the official games, particularly when they can’t see the score clearly or when they believe the referees keep the score incorrectly. That’s why Boardee will be perfect for them, too. - A scoreboard which can be operated in windy days There is no other manual scoreboard on the market which can be operated easily in windy days. For other scoreboards, wind keeps flipping the scoring cards, distracting the referees and causing inconvenience. Boardee has card holders for windy days to keep the scoring cards stable. - Players and spectators prefer to keep the score of the ongoing game There are tousands of local and national sports events all around the USA and the world. For such events, it would be convenient for both the competitors and the spectators to have a device to display and keep the score. Otherwise, the referee has to announce it loudly at every update, and it is uncomfortable both for the referee and the players and spectators who keep track of the score. - Forgetting the score or making an error disrupts the flow of the game In most of the US local tournaments, competitors take turns in refereeing the games, e.g. at the end of a match, one of the players in the field gets assigned as the referee of  the next match that his team does not participate in. While refereeing, the players either just keep track of the score via memorizing or record it via a clipboard and paper. Without a device to display the score, it is difficult for the referee to announce the points every time a team gets one, so they usually do not announce every score update. Therefore, when they make a mistake, nobody notices it at that moment and players and spectators realize it after 5-6 more rallies played.  Correcting the mistake and finding the right score is much harder after that many points are obtained and it may lead to a dispute between the teams and the referee. With Boardee, if the referee makes a mistake, players and spectators can  immediately see it and inform the referee before it is too late. - Having only one referee is common for amateur level tournaments Some tournaments can have only one referee for the matches. In such cases, the referee cannot operate a big scoreboard and run the match by him/herself at the same time, but with a Boardee he/she can both referee the match and display the score - The referees may prefer to run the match while sitting. The referees at most outdoor tournaments (such as beach and grass volleyball events), usually keep the score while sitting on a beach chair. It is more comfortable to attach the scoreboard on the arm of a beach chair and Boardee is attachable to most chairs and tables. Moreover, even if the referee  chooses to stand, they can easily hang the Boardee either on the pole or around their neck. Some professional tournaments’ qualifier events usually have one referee standing on a stand next to the pole and they cannot oparate a big scoreboard while they are officating the game. Boardee is perfect for them since they can attach it on the pole and everybody can see the score. Your Personal Scoreboard
